This permanent role is ideal for a trade-qualified supervisor with a proven track record managing HV infrastructure works, grid connections, or substation installations. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring electrical packages are delivered safely, to spec, and on programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Manager in day-to-day coordination of labour, materials, and logistics
  • Maintain daily records, track progress, and report updates to the delivery team
  • Carry out site audits and toolbox talks to promote a safe and productive work environment
  • Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and supply chain to ensure works are sequenced effectively
  • Review electrical drawings and schematics to ensure compliance and constructability
  • Proactively manage site issues, workforce challenges, and handover readiness
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure all works are carried out with minimum risk

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a supervisory role on HV, transmission, or industrial M&E projects
  • Recognised senior electrical trade qualification or equivalent site-based engineering background
  • Competent reading and interpreting of electrical schematics, layouts, and installation drawings
  • Experience managing works on substations, power transmission, or large-scale utility projects
  • Confident working on live/near-live HV environments with strong safety awareness
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and sub-contractors
  • Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with HV materials procurement and lead-time management

What’s on Offer:

  • £60,000 - £70,000 + Package
  • Permanent role with a major infrastructure delivery contractor
  • Long-term programme of HV and grid connection works across Scotland
  • Competitive salary and package (based on experience)
  • Training and development through structured progression pathways
  • Collaborative working environment with a focus on engineering excellence
